Antelope Valley Mesh is a group of Meshcore users working together to bring an excellent off-grid, open-source, encrypted messaging experience to everyone in the Antelope Valley
Like the mesh in the Antelope Valley, this site is very much a work in progress.
We are busy building our group of users, developing local guidelines, and planning repeaters to expand our mesh coverage.
New to all of this and don't know where to start?

Welcome! That curiosity is what got each one of us interested. Whether you are looking for a project to tinker with, off-grid messaging for adventures or emergencies, or just heard about Meshcore and want to learn more, we're glad youre here and want to help.
We are developing a document to help new users, especially those who do not consider themselves "techies". Like everything else around here, it's a work in progress. There's probably typos, errors, and unfinished sections. Feel free to drop comments and help us improve it. You can find it at the link below.

Most of our group started on or are still using Meshtastic. We're grateful for all the work put in by the Meshtastic developers and users. Having used both, we have found Meshcore to be more functional and user-friendly. Some even go as far as to say that Meshcore is like Meshtastic 2.0.
Meshcore can use most of the same hardware as Meshtastic. If you're already using Meshtastic, why not give Meshcore a try? Just don't forget to backup your Meshtastic node before flashing it over to a Meshcore Companion.
